Project timeline

PISCES is running from 2009 until 2012 with some key milestones along the way. We have only one year left of the three year project to make a very big difference! Outlined below are the approximate dates for the project.

It's important to be aware that the secret to success for these types of projects is flexibility and adaptive management. The project team may alter the structure and delivery of PISCES over time to be responsive to stakeholder's needs and respond to any new challenges in our changing world. We'll update this page if any significant changes take place.

• 21-24 Sep 2010: Tutorial: Marine Spatial Planning (online)
• 4-8 Oct 2010: Tutorial: Marine policy (online)
• 23-24 Nov 2010: Workshop 2: Creating practical Guidelines (Ireland)
• 14-15 June 2011: Workshop 3: Refining the Guidelines (France)
• 8-9 Nov 2011: Workshop 4: Applying the guidelines to the Celtic Sea (UK)
• April 2012: Workshop 5
• Summer 2012: Final guidelines produced
• October 2012: Guidelines launch event and dissemination of guidelines to wider stakeholders
• End 2012: Final project reports published
