Where are we working?
When we talk about the Celtic Sea, we mean the area shown in the map below which extends to include some of the exceedingly busy English channel and also west of Ireland in the deeper waters.
There are a number of different Celtic Sea boundaries but we have chosen to follow the one set out by the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea.
This is a huge area covering the coasts of three different countries, shallow and deep waters. Although we do not cover the Spanish coast, Spanish fisheries operate in these waters and are therefore contributing to the project as stakeholders.
