This project will be asking stakeholders to define the ecosystem approach for managing their activities in the marine environment. A huge amount of thought has already been given by experts in industry, science and policy as to what the ecosystem approach may mean in practice. The Convention on Biological Diversity has already outlined 12 guiding principles and our stakeholders will be drawing upon this and other research to agree an approach which best fits the Celtic Sea*.
